Joiner's top 2.4hrs of LeMullets at Freedom Factory, Joseph sweeps at Southern
The Hunt the Front Racing Team had a fun and fruitful weekend.
Festivities started on Friday evening with Joseph and Jonathan Joiner piloting a Crown Vic to the victory in the 2.4hrs of LeMullets at Freedom Factory. From there Joseph Joiner bested the $5,000-to-win Southern All Star Late Model Series event at Southern Raceway on Saturday night.
“It was a really fun weekend, and obviously winning made it even more fun,” Joseph Joiner said. “Jonathan and I made a heckuva team and got the job done in the Crown Vic on Friday night at Freedom Factory, and then the team gave me a great car on Saturday night at Southern (Raceway) and I was able to pick up the $5,000 win.
“We’re going to take this weekend off and enjoy Thanksgiving with our family, and then get ready for the $10,000-to-win event at Buckshot Speedway on December 2. Thank you to everyone who helps us do what we do and happy holidays to all!”
Joseph Joiner returned to action on Friday night as his brother Jonathan was dusting off his racing suit to compete alongside in The Black Rifle 2.4hrs of LeMullets at Freedom Factory (Bradenton, Fla.).
With the pair splitting the driving duties throughout the night, Joseph powered the Hunt the Front No. 101 Crown Vic entry to the victory in the second stage of the 121-lapper after Jonathan drove for time trials and first half of the main event. Winning by more than a four-second margin when the checkers flew, the pair were both awarded a Stingray Corvette.
Jesse was also in action on Friday at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned Thanksgiving Thunder where he raced to a ninth-place finish in the 30-lap opener.
With a change of plans for Saturday, Joseph joined Jesse at Southern Raceway for the second round of the two-day Southern All Star Series weekend.
Securing a clean sweep, Joiner backed up the fastest qualifying effort aboard his Base Racing Fuel No. 10 Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors / Three Trade Consultants / Longhorn Race Car Super Late Model with a flag-to-flag victory in the 40-lap finale. He collected a $5,000 payday ahead of Dalton Cook, Caleb Gay, Colton Leyendecker, and Cruz Skinner. The win was his 10th overall on the season and eighth career with the Southern All Star Series.
Jesse ran as high as fifth early in the race but a multi-car tangle following a lap-24 restart led to an early exit.

The team will be idle this week before returning to action Dec. 2 at Buckshot Speedway (Clanton, Ala.) in a $10,000-to-win, non-point event for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.
