The Hunt the Front team traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss. on Thursday for the Magnolia Mayhem 40.
Shortly after the team’s arrival, persistent rain forced officials to postpone the event to Friday. In a stout field of 41 entries on Friday, Joseph took his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat race.
Unfortunately, heavy track conditions from afternoon rain did not favor the team. After starting 21st in the 40-lap feature, Joiner ran out of tear offs just eight laps into the race. The first caution of the event waved on lap nine and Joseph retired from the remainder of the event.
