Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama was the destination for the Hunt the Front team over the weekend. Joseph piloted the No. 10 Law Offices of Cole & Davis Capital Race Car in a doubleheader with the Southern All Stars Super Late Model Series.
On Friday night, Joseph’s qualifying time was just .05 seconds short of earning a front row starting spot for the 30-lap A-Main. Instead, Joseph started the feature from the fifth position. He charged to the third spot early in the race and briefly pulled into second before fading during the race’s middle portions. Joseph dropped as far back as seventh before make two passes in the closing laps to earn a fifth-place finish behind race winner David Breazeale, Josh Putnam, Larry Harrod, and Sam Seawright.
Returning on Saturday, Joseph was once again just short of earning a front-row starting spot through qualifying. He ended up starting the 50-lap feature from the fourth spot but quickly made his way forward. He took the second position on lap 4, but contact with the car he passed turned Joseph and resulted in a pileup. Joseph’s car suffered only minor damage from the incident, but he was forced to restart from the tail of the field.
Joseph charged back through the field to record a fourth-place finish behind race winner Ashton Winger, Ryan Crane, and Tyler Crowder. Billy Franklin rounded out the Top-5.
