Joseph Joiner scores fourth-place finish in World 100 prelim at Eldora Speedway
Debuting his brand-new Capital Race Car at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio), Joseph Joiner kicked off his World 100 week early by competing with Castrol FloRacing Night in America on Wednesday evening.
Stopping the clock 13th in his stacked qualifying group, Joiner finished fifth in his heat before dropping back to sixth in a B-Main.
With 107 Late Models checked in for the first night of preliminaries, Joseph picked up a shootout victory before leading laps in the evening's second $12,000-to-win preliminary feature. Joiner eventually settled for a fourth-place outing as he trailed Hudson O'Neal, Bobby Pierce, and Tim McCreadie while Devin Moran completed the Top-5.
Finishing 19th in a prelim feature on Friday, Joiner hit the invert just right and would sit on the pole in one of Saturday's heat races. Falling back to fourth in his heat race, Joseph found himself in a B-Main where he would also slip out of a transfer spot and miss the 54th-annual World 100.
