Joseph Joiner returned to the driver seat over the weekend for Cochran (Ga.) Motor Speedway’s Crate Racin’ USA World Championship.
Terminal issues under the hood of their No. 10 on Saturday would bring the team’s night to a disappointing early end. However, after having problem of his own, Bo Slay decided to loan Joseph his engine to finish out the weekend.
After an all-nighter to swap engines, Joseph rolled off from the tail of his B-Main on Sunday. Advancing from 12th to finish sixth, Joiner fell just short of a transfer position, sending him to the Last Chance Qualifier. Charging through the field from eighth to grab the win, Joseph earned the 25th spot on the grid for the $20,000-to-win finale.
In the 75-lap main event, Joiner mounted an impress charge through the field, advancing 12 positions to record a 13th place finish in the final rundown.
