HTF Competes in Missouri and Florida

Hunt The Front drivers, Joseph Joiner and Jesse Enterkin, were both in action over the weekend. While both drivers were slinging dirt they found themselves several hours apart with Joseph entering the 30th annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.), while Jesse made his Crate Late Model USA debut at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida).

Joiner piloted the Henderson Motorsports No. 10 Super Late Model into battle with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) as he made his debut at the state-of-the-art Missouri oval. After seeing Thursday’s program washed away, the team battled front-end issues on Friday evening as Joiner’s night came to an end with a 14th-place finish in his B-Main.

On Saturday night, Joiner was positioned 14th on the starting grid for his B-Main. He charged to a seventh-place finish but with only the Top-2 finishers moving onto the big show he fell short of qualifying for the feature. He received one last chance to make the main event via the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge Non-Qualifier’s Race. Joiner started 11th before seeing his night and weekend come to an end in the 17th position.

Meanwhile, Enterkin entered the Harvey Jones Memorial at All-Tech Raceway. The $10,000-to-win Crate Racin’ USA event drew a field of 51 entries to the 1/2-mile oval. Jesse qualified second fastest in his group and third fastest overall, which locked him into the fourth-starting spot for the feature. He would be forced to retire just past the halfway point in the feature with an overheating engine. He was credited with a 23rd-place finish.
