Joiner Treks to All-Tech; Finishes Eighth in Finale

On Thursday evening, racing action shifted to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.), where he looked to turn his luck around in his third race of the season. Forty-three Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competitors entered the event, and Joseph started his night by going from eighth-to-third in heat race, which locked him into the 10th-starting spot for the night’s 40-lap feature.

While the night started on a positive note, the main event proved to be a challenge. Joseph took a hard hit after getting pinched in the bottom on lap one, then got dumped twice later in the race. He was scored 19th at the finish.

After setting Friday night’s program rained out, the team made a triumphant return to action on Saturday night. With 44 LOLMDS competitors in action, Joseph advanced from ninth-to-seventh in his heat race, which relegated him to the B-Main, where he started sixth.

With the Top-3 finishers transferring to the feature Joiner rocketed to a runner-up finish to lock into the 20th-starting spot for the 50-lap finale. As the $15,000-to-win feature went green, Joiner began advancing through the field. He reached as high as the sixth position before ultimately settling into an eighth-place finish at the checkered flag.
