Joiner Second with the Ultimate Series at Senoia; Competes at Tazewell and Beckley
Hunt the Front kicked off their holiday weekend of racing on Saturday night at Senoia (Ga.) Speedway with the Ultimate Southeast Super Late Model Series.
Joseph started and finished second in the night's feature to Zack Mitchell.
On Sunday evening the team invaded Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series Firecracker 40 event, where Joiner was scheduled to start 11th in the $5,000-to-win finale. However, the team decided to start on the tail and only make one lap in the feature before retiring from the event to save their equipment.
On Monday Joiner and the Hunt The Front gang rolled into Beckley (W.V.) Motor Speedway for the USA 100. Thirty-six XR Southern All Star Late Model competitors entered the event, and Joiner fell short of qualifying for the feature via preliminary action but received a series provisional to start the feature in the 23rd position. Despite falling down a lap early in the feature, he inched ahead four spots in the feature to finish 19th.
