HTF Takes Aim on Cotton Pickin' Weekend

Hunt The Front rolled into Magnolia Motor Speedway on Thursday to kick off the 2022 edition of the Cotton Pickin' 100.

The three-day swing opened with a $3,000-to-win COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model event. Thirty-seven racers entered the event, and a third-place finish in his heat race, earned Joseph Joiner the 12th-starting spot for the feature.

During the course of the main event he climbed forward eight spots to finish fourth behind Billy Moyer Jr., Chad Thrash, and Evan Ellis. He received the Hard Charger of the Race award.

The winner's check increased to $4,000 on Friday night and so did the car count as 42 competitors registered for battle. A fifth-to-third performance in heat race competition earned Joseph the 11th-starting spot for the feature. He went on to advance two spots to a ninth-place finish in the main event.

On Saturday evening the final round of the three-day Super Late Model event was held. Joseph qualified third fastest in his group and backed it up with a third-place finish in his heat race.

Starting 10th in the $12,000-to-win feature, Joiner raced to a seventh-place finish.

Meanwhile, Jesse Enterkin competed in the weekend's 604 Late Model action. On Friday night he qualified 13th fastest and then finished fourth in his heat race to lock into the 13th-starting spot for Saturday's finale.

In the main event on Saturday night, he advanced to a 12th-place finish.
