Joseph second in Governor's Cup at TST, Jesse third in CRUSA Late Model
Both Joseph Joiner and Jesse Enterkin unloaded their Hunt the Front entries at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday with Joseph competing in the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series-sanctioned Governor’s Cup while Jesse was piloting the Base Racing Fuel No. 1 Crate Late Model.
In a field of 36 Valvoline Iron-Man Series entries, Joiner raced into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Advancing forward four spots in the 50-lap affair, Joseph challenged race-long pacesetter Sam Seawright late in closing laps but came up 0.518 seconds short at the line. Austin Horton, Trey Mills, and Dalton Cook completed the top-five finishers.
Enterkin followed up a fourth-to-second run in his heat with a third-place finish in the 20-lap feature, which came behind T.J. Brittain and Mario Gresham.
