Joseph Joiner rallies for seventh-place finish in Deep Fried 75 at Duck River
Returning to Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series competition after a lengthy summer break, Joseph Joiner was one of 34 Super Late Models checked in at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) for the Deep Fried 75 weekend.
Finishing second in a LCQ on Friday, Joiner started 14th in the feature and finished 12th after 30 laps.
On Saturday night, Joseph charged to a runner-up position in his heat race and was slated to start eighth in the 75-lap main event until Joiner suffered a flat tire before the green flag dropped. Starting from the tail with $20,000 on the line, Joiner stormed to a Top-10 finish in seventh.
Joiner is currently fifth in the HTFSDS point standings.
