Cherokee Chief Series Launches This Sunday with March Madness

This Sunday, March 2nd, the Ginger Owens Memorial March Madness kicks off the all-new Cherokee Chief Super Late Model Series! This six-race mini-series for Super Late Models features Cherokee Speedway's crown jewel events, with a $10,000 check going to the champion at the end of the year!

Join us Sunday for an action-packed afternoon of racing, as the Southeast's best Super Late Model drivers battle for a $15,000 payday and the title of first-ever Cherokee Chief Series winner!

SUPER LATE MODEL COMPETITOR NOTES

• Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series officials will oversee, officiate, and tech the Super Late Model portion of the event.
• The event will be ran under Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction Rules.
• The tire rule for the event is open left-front, Hoosier NLMT 3 right-front and left-rear, Hoosier NLMT 3 or 4 right-rear.
• The Super Late Model program will consist of hot laps (2 laps), qualifying (2 laps), heat races (8 laps), B-mains (10 laps), and a 50-lap feature.
• Entry fee is $125.

• The 602 Late Model division is sanctioned by the Mid-East 602 Late Model Series and will run under series rules and officiating.
• 602 Late Models will hot lap (2 laps), qualify (2 laps), and feature race.
• Thunder Bomber, Extreme 4, and Crown Vics will run under Cherokee Speedway rules and will be officiated and teched by Cherokee Speedway staff.
• Thunder Bomber, Extreme 4, and Crown Vics will each hot lap/qualify (4 laps) and will run 20-lap features.
