Jesse Enterkin steers to eighth in AL State Championships at EAMS
Jesse Enterkin returned to the driver’s seat of the Hunt the Front No. 1HTF Late Model on Saturday evening at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) as Crate Racin’ USA series drew a stout field of 42 competitors for the 51st annual Alabama State Championships.
With prelims on Saturday setting the grid for Sunday’s main event, Enterkin followed up the third-fastest qualifying effort in his 11-car group with a third-place finish in his heat race.
Locked into the 12th-starting position for Sunday's $10,000-to-win Alabama State Championship finale, Jesse clawed forward four spots in the 50-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.
