Joseph Joiner second in Southern Raceway Late Model Challenge Series opener

Competing in the first of six Late Model Challenge events, Joseph Joiner was among 26 Late Model entries at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) on Saturday night.

After dealing with mechanical issues in his heat, Joiner started from the tail in the 30-lap feature and stormed to the front. Joseph wound up runner-up in the $3,000-to-win show and finished behind JC Wilson.
