Joiner finishes second in Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series title chase
Both Joseph Joiner and Jesse Enterkin invaded Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) on Friday evening as the doubleheader Southern Showcase wrapped up the inaugural season for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.
Drawing 33 Super Late Models, Joiner raced into the opener with a consolation victory after missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat race. Wheeling his way into the top-10, Joseph charged forward eight spots in the 30-lapper to register a ninth-place finish.
On Saturday, Joseph’s third-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the sixth row for the $23,000-to-win Southern Showcase finale. Overcoming a late pit stop to replace a tire, Joiner rallied in the closing distance of the 60-lap affair to finish 14th.
Joseph finished second in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series final point standings.
Jesse followed up a runner-up showing in his 602 Late Model heat race on Friday with a third-place finish in Saturday's main event. He trailed Cameron Tribble and Dustin Watkins to the checkers with Austin Scarborough and Kyle Connell rounding out the Top-5.
