Joseph Joiner rallies to top-10 in Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot
For the two-day Coors Light Fall Classic weekend, Joseph Joiner unloaded his Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors No. 10 Late Model at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) for prelims on Friday leading up to Saturday’s main event.
With the 48-car field split into two groups, Joiner backed up a third-place finish in his heat race with a consistent ninth-place outing in his 30-lap prelim.
On Saturday, Joseph qualified fourth-fastest in his 24-car group before darting to a heat race victory. Earning the pole for the $15,000-to-win Fall Classic, Joiner was collected in a lap-12 tangle that led to a visit to the infield hot pit for repairs. Rallying from the ninth row in the final 48 circuits, Joseph gained 10 spots to salvage an eighth-place finish.
