Gateway Dirt Nationals brings Hunt the Front to St. Louis
Joseph Joiner and the Hunt the Front team headed north to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Mo.) on Friday to compete in preliminary action for the seventh annual Gateway Dirt Nationals.
With the stout 127-car field split in two groups over Thursday and Friday, Joiner lost a spot in his heat to finish fourth, relegating him into a B-Main for another shot at the $5,000-to-win prelim. Taking the top-three, Joseph fell two positions short with a fifth-place outing.
Pinned on the fourth row of his qualifier on Saturday for one final shot at the $30,000-to-win Gateway Dirt Nationals finale, Joseph’s sixth-place showing brought an early end to his weekend.
