Joseph Joiner charges to ninth-place finish with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Thunderhill
Making his Capital Race Car debut with the series, Joseph Joiner followed the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Mark Fields Memorial.
With a stout 36-car field on hand, Joiner moved backwards in his LCQ which forced him to take a provisional for the $5,000-to-win opener. Storming through the field in the quick 30-lap feature, Joseph wound up 13th.
In Saturday's $15,000-to-win finale, Joiner once again found himself starting towards the rear of the starting grid. With 50 laps to work with, Joseph wasted no time and charged passed his competitors to a Top-10 finish in ninth.
Joiner is now fifth in the HTFSDS point standings.
