Joseph Joiner runner-up in thrilling HTF Series race at Whynot Motorsports Park
Following the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series tour to Mississippi, Joseph Joiner was one of 45 Super Late Models signed in at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the House of Hook Showdown.
Laying down the fourth-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Joiner ran second in his heat race and earned a fourth-row starting spot in the 40-lap feature. Joseph took adavntage of a racy racetrack and made up six positions to land on the podium in second. He trailed race-winner Dalton Cook while Jimmy Owens completed the Top-3 in the $8,000-to-win showdown.
Saturday's $12,000-to-win finale was rained out.
