Joseph Joiner caps opening week of Hell Tour with back-to-back Top-10 finishes

Staying out in the Midwest to catch the first week of the Hell Tour, Joseph Joiner unloaded his Hunt the Front No. 10 machine at Brownstown (Ill.) Bullring on Tuesday afternoon and joined 44 DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models.

After missing the setup in qualifying, Joseph stormed from ninth-to-third in his heat race and earned a sixth-row starting spot for the $5,000-to-win opener. Joiner went on to finish 11th in the 30-lapper.

Joseph posted finishes of 13th and 16th at Kankakee (Ill.) County Speedway and Peoria (Ill.) Speedway respectively before Friday's $10,000-to-win show at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) was postponed due to rain.

On Saturday, the Hunt the Front team made their way to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway and joined a massive 58-car field. Joseph finished runner-up in his heat race and charged forward in the 50-lap main event to land inside the Top-5 in fourth. He trailed Brian Shirley, Jason Feger, and Dennis Erb Jr. while Frank Heckenast Jr. completed the Top-5.

Wrapping up week one of the mini-tour, Joseph recorded a Top-10 outing at Sycamore (Ill.) Speedway on Sunday with a seventh-place finish.

Joiner finished seventh in the weekly point standings.
