Joseph Joiner earns spot in 43rd North/South 100 at Florence Speedway
Joining the national tour for the biggest race in Kentucky, Joseph Joiner was one of 51 Super Late Models checked in with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) for the 43rd-annual Sunoco North/South 100.
Joiner finished 12th in the first preliminary feature of the week before dealing with mechanical issues on Friday evening. He went to the backup car and charged from 25th-to-14th in the $6,000-to-win prelim.
With $75,000 up for grabs on Saturday, Joseph picked up a last chance showdown win to make the 100-lap main event and recorded a 22nd-place finish.
